2012 was the 50th Anniversary of the PVRR

April, 2012 marked the golden anniversary of the Society and the most recent success of the club’s new location in Richland, New Jersey. A special thank you goes to the many modelers who over the years have contributed to the success and enjoyment of the Patcong Valley Society of Model Railroaders.
A special thank you goes to Richard and Irene Schiereck. Dick and Irene offered the Patcong Valley Society of Model Railroaders a home for their railroad activity for over 27 years on their property on Bargaintown Road in Egg Harbor Township.

A thank you also goes to the Buena Vista Township, under the leadership of former mayor Chuck Chiarello, without whose help and vision the Patcong Valley Society of Model Railroaders may have ended in 2004. He brought to our club the opportunity to rebuild in Richland Village, which proved to be a great location and an enjoyable atmosphere for the club’s artistic expression.

A book was published to celebrate the 50th Anniversary and copies may be available at the Patcong Model Railroad during the open houses.
